We are attorneys who represent survivors of sexual abuse by the Christian Brothers. In the past decade we have represented more U.S. survivors than anyone. This website is intended to provide abuse survivors with information regarding the bankruptcy that the Christian Brothers filed in April 2011, including options for people who did not file a claim before the bankruptcy deadline. We are also a resource for other attorneys who represent an abuse suvivor that may have a claim against the Christian Brothers or other institutions responsible for the abuse.
The bankruptcy court required survivors to file a claim with the bankruptcy court by a deadline that expired last year. If you did not file a claim by the deadline, you may still be able to submit a claim against the Christian Brothers or the other entities that owned or operated the schools that they ran or where the abuse occurred. Learn more about your options by contacting us or clicking here.
Over the past 100 years, the Christian Brothers operated dozens of schools and other institutions throughout the United States. During that time they amassed substantial wealth from running those schools, and the two entities that sought bankruptcy protection were responsible for holding at least some of the assets they accumulated. We have compiled a partial list of those schools by using documents we have obtained over a decade of litigation. Click here to see if your school is on the list. We have also compiled a list of Christian Brothers who served at those schools.
Our law practice is devoted to protecting survivors of childhood sexual abuse, and over the past decade, we have succesfully represented more U.S. survivors of abuse by Christian Brothers than any other firm in the country. We have also helped attorneys in states across the country prosecute cases against the Christian Brothers and other Catholic institutions, and we have been heavily involved in a number of the other Catholic bankruptcies. We are committed to helping survivors obtain justice and move forward. Learn more about our unique experience by clicking here.
